Ferydoon Zandi joined the TuS with immediate effect. The former Bundesliga player - 55 matches (six goals) for SC Freiburg and 1. FC kaiserslautern - signed a contract until the end of the season.

"The talks with the Head Coach were crucial", Zandi explained his decision. "He gives me the backing I have missed in the past months."

The 27 year old has kept himself fit at Oberliga club FSV Oggersheim, but a start in the DFB Cup match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen would come too early for him.

Koblenz Head Coach Milan Sasic is happy with his recent signing. "We didn't sign him - he voluntarily joined us. Zandi is keen on playing for Koblenz."
